🌐 Custom Domain
Take your brand identity to the next level by using your own web domain in your QR codes (e.g.,
menu.your-restaurant.com) instead of the default MenuNode address.
How does it work?
By default, MenuNode generates a QR code that points to
menunode.com/m/your-slug. With the Custom Domain feature, you can change this destination.
This is useful if:
- You have your own website and want to embed the menu there.
- You have configured a redirect or CNAME record pointing to your menu.
- You prefer your customers to see your brand name in the address bar immediately upon scanning.
Step-by-Step Configuration
1. Go to the
QR Codes section in the sidebar.
2. In the settings panel, find the
"Custom Domain Settings" block.
3. Check the box
"I use my own domain".
4. Enter the
full URL of your site (including
https://).
Example:* https://menu.myrestaurant.com
5. Click
"Save Settings".
Result
You will immediately see that:
1. The QR code on the screen will change its pattern to encode your new URL.
2. The text link below the QR will update.
Now you can download this new QR code and, when scanned, your customers will be directed to the address you specified.
You must have some technical knowledge to configure a custom domain. You will also need to configure it in your menu's QR codes.
