Cookie policy
Last updated: October 22, 2026
A cookie is a tiny file a site keeps in your browser. Here is every one we use on menunode.com, what it does and how long it lasts. For a few preferences we use the browser’s storage instead; we list those too.
Where and when we measure
Google Tag Manager, and through it Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, only loads on MenuNode's own pages: home, features, examples, pricing, privacy, cookies, terms, sign-up and the account's first steps. Never on a restaurant's menu, when ordering, booking or tracking an order, in the kiosk, the PDF, the sign-in page or the dashboard.
And only after you accept “Measurement” in the cookie notice. Until then everything starts switched off (Google Consent Mode v2).
If you reject, none of it loads. If you accepted and later change your mind, we delete the measurement cookies left behind and reload the page. Your choice lasts a year; then we ask again.
Change your choice
You can change it at any time with this button or with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of MenuNode's pages.
Every cookie, one by one

How you found us
A single cookie of our own, which no other company reads.
- mn_src
- If you arrive at a MenuNode page from another site, or from a link with a code (ref) or campaign data (utm), it keeps that site's name (only the domain, never the full address), the code and the campaign data. It is set the first time and never changed afterwards. If you create an account, we copy it to the account so we know how you found us. If you come in directly, it isn't created. The page's code cannot read it.How long: 30 days
Measurement (only if you accept)
Loaded through Google Tag Manager, and only on MenuNode's own pages.
- _ga, _ga_<code>
- Google Analytics 4: how many visits there are and which pages are seen. Google Analytics doesn't store your IP address. How long: Up to 2 years; Google keeps the data 14 months
- _clck, _clsk
- Microsoft Clarity: visit recordings and heatmaps to see where people get stuck. All text on the page is masked. _clck recognizes your browser between visits and _clsk ties together the pages of one visit. Microsoft acts as our processor. How long: _clck: 1 year; _clsk: 1 day; recordings up to 30 days
- MUID (Microsoft)
- When Clarity loads, Microsoft also stores its own cookies on its domains (bing.com and clarity.ms), such as MUID, to recognize the browser. For this, Clarity also connects to c.bing.com, a Microsoft service. Microsoft handles them, not us.How long: Up to about 13 months
Advertising
We don't use any today: no Meta pixel and no Google ads tags are active. If we ever add them, they will only load if you tick “Advertising” in the notice, and we will say so here.
Delete cookies from your browser
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser's settings. If you block the necessary ones, you won't be able to sign in.
